Sel De Mer

Sel De Mer

This deep peaty version of Sea Salt comes from the Celtic Ocean fields reputed for centuries to produce a healthy, rich-flavored salt. A light gray color to the coarse crystal comes from the natural minerals and sea creatures floating about in the sea water that is naturally evaporated and hand harvested. Sel de Mer far cry from the edgy flavor of plain table salt. The moisture content of this salt makes it perfect for "hand seasoning" at the table but not the best idea for salt mills where the grinder would clog with crystals. Try it on our Roast Chicken Provencal.
